Fun facts about the Chevrolet Corvette
One of the more popular American made sports cars for decades has been the Corvette. The Corvette is manufactured by General Motors owned Chevrolet and is one of the signature cars of not only that company, but of the American presence in the automotive industry as a whole. The Corvette has captured both the fantasy and imagination of the public and remains one of the more sought after vehicles in the United States and abroad. Many limited edition and classic Corvettes have sold for serious money at auction, proving that the desire for these cars is not temporary or on a fly-by-night basis. The Corvette continues to be the epitome of “cool”.
Here are some fun facts that you may not have known about the Chevrolet Corvette:
-The original front emblem logo on the Corvettes that made the trade show circuit featured a checkered flag and an American flag crossed, later Chevrolet was alerted to the fact that it is illegal to use an American flag on a trademark and the logo was changed.
-As revolutionary that the Corvette was when introduced in 1953, the only part or component included in its manufacturing that was not already available in other Chevrolet models was the fiberglass body.
-Manual transmission was listed as an option on the 1954 Chevrolet Corvette, but no model was ordered, manufactured, or delivered that year with a manual transmission.
-The 1958 Chevrolet Corvette was the first ‘Vette with factory installed seat belts.
-The first year that an AM/FM radio was offered as an option in a Corvette was 1968.
-The 1963 through 1967 Corvettes were known as “Sting Rays”. The model name disappeared in 1968, but returned in 1969 only to be spelled as one word, “Stingray”
-The last Corvette manufactured to run on the old style “leaded” fuel was produced in 1974.
-The most Chevrolet Corvettes ever manufactured in one year was over 53,807 in 1979.
-The first Corvette produced with windshield wipers that clear water in the same direction instead of opposing directions was made in 1997.
-In 2005, Chevrolet manufactured Corvettes without the famous pop-up headlights for the first time since 1962.
The Chevrolet Corvette has been one of the most popular American made sportscars for decades, and with good reason. From its high performance design that delivers amazing on-road results to the always innovative thinking that brings new options and developments with almost every new model, the Corvette has set itself up to remain the standard by which all other American sportscars will be judged by in the future.

Crazy Car Tuning
Well, some people actually say car tuners are “crazy people”…
I’d just say watch for yourselves!
This guy is completly insane; he decided to transform a rather old car into a frenetical tuning machine. He switch the car direction completly and in this video he shows how to annoy people pretending he’s driving backwards.
Completly nuts!

Making Car Balloons
There was a time when car balloons were reserved specifically for wedding farewells. These days, you won’t have to be driving past a nuptial ceremony to catch a glimpse of these fun automotive add-ons. Making car balloons has become so easy that many people think the once harmless items might be falling into the wrong hands. Though they aren’t being used as weapons of mass destruction, car balloons are becoming a popular item for juvenile delinquents just looking to have some fun.
Making car balloons is a pretty simple process. To start with, one just has to go out and find the perfect balloons for what he’s trying to accomplish. If mischief is your goal, then there are a number of car balloons that will suit you. Certain car balloons have become very popular for this purpose, including ones that are shaped like missiles. Once the right balloons are acquired, making car balloons is easy. Blow the balloon full of helium, so that it will stand straight up in the air when attached to a car. From there, one must tie a sturdy string to the car balloon and attach the end to the car in question. That’s really all there is to it. Now you’re ready to have some and make some folks real nervous.
The aforementioned missile shaped car balloons are popular because they make it look like there are missiles following your car as it goes down the road. If folks don’t happen to see the string that is attached from the balloon to the car, they might just fall hard for this trick. Similar ideas have also been popular in the past, including UFO shaped car balloons. Imagine the look on a person’s face as you fly past them with a mysterious flying object following your automobile closely. If you pick the right car balloons, having a blast with them is very easy.
There are certain risks associated with car balloons, though. Since they cause distractions for other drivers on the road, they can be the primary cause of a major accident. In this circumstance, police officers wouldn’t take too kindly to your prank. In addition, there is always the risk that the car balloons could pop or the string could break. This would leave the balloons floating in the air and no one knows when or where they might come down.
If you weigh the risks associated with car balloons against the certain fun that they provide, it’s easy to see why folks have become so infatuated with them. This fad is just starting to become popular as people realize that car balloons aren’t just wedding decoration anymore. They provide not only an avenue for fun, but a way for young folks to test the law and slip past trouble.
