The Brand New Lincoln MKS

Over the last couple of decades, foreign made automobiles have been getting pretty much all the accolades, especially when it comes to luxury.  While Cadillac has a few models that deserve praise it is mostly Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Infinity and Acura that have been stealing the show.  Finally, Lincoln has made its mark with the all new for 2009 MKS.  The MKS is similar to the MKZ and the other MKX (which is actually a crossover) in that they are a new line of luxury cars focused on worldly styling that is clean, elegant and not easily recognizable as being from an American auto producer Lincoln (which is actually Ford).  However, the brand new Lincoln 2009 MKS definitely delivers and while it is quite nice looking it also backs up these looks with performance and a price tag that is much lower than one would think.

The MKS Tech Specs
Under the hood, you will find a very nice engine, which is also the same as the MKZ’s- a 3.5 liter V6 that offers a healthy 273 horsepower.  This engine comes with a 6 speed automatic select shift that either comes with all wheel drive or front wheel drive.  There are plenty of standard features available in this vehicle including LED tail lamps, SYNC hands free communications and entertainment system, six airbags, disc brakes with ABS, traction control and even a post crash alert system.

The Interior is very nice with quality materials and an easy to work console.  The dashboard is also laid out very nicely with easy to read gauges.  The styling again is very nicely done and it is made to appeal to younger buyers that may not have considered the brand before.  Overall, the MKS is quite a good looking and performing car and with a price in the mid to high 30’s, it is much less than other luxury vehicles on the market.
