Cadillac XLR-V, High Performance Luxury

It has only been about a decade or so since Cadillac started changing its line up drastically.  For a while during the late 80’s and 90’s, Cadillac was usually a person’s last vehicle- usually due to the driver’s age, nowadays Cadillac offers fresh styling, lots of performance and yes, plenty of luxury.  If you are weary about Cadillac’s image, its time that you definitely changed your mind about this name plate.  Over the last 10 years, there have been plenty of fresh changes to styling, speed and power.  The XLR-V is the flagship luxury sportster by Cadillac and by looking at the price tag, you would think it was a Mercedes Benz.  However, even with the six digit price, this vehicle definitely earns its mention as one of the more thrilling luxury sportsters to come out of Detroit in a long time.

The Cadillac XLR-V Exceeds Expectations
For starters, the Cadillac XLR-V is the high performance vehicle of the XLR which already is pretty powerful and luxurious.  The body style of this vehicle is a convertible with very nice lines and a more European look which is most closely mirrored as a Mercedes than any other vehicle.  The engine of the XLR-V is not that big, as sportsters go, but definitely delivers plenty of oomph.  For starters, this 4.4 liter V8 delivers a whopping 443 horsepower and this engine is matched with a nicely done six speed automatic transmission that offers a manual shift mode.  With large 19 inch size wheels this baby definitely performs well on the road and the corners.  Inside the XLR-V you will find plenty of luxury and many features making this vehicle well worth the $103K price tag.
