Volvo Cars is up for sale
After “dumping” Aston Martin, Jaguar and Land Rover, Ford Motor Company announced afficialy that Volvo Cars is up for sale.
The US group of companies (Ford), Volvo’s owner, informed that it would be re-evaluating its strategic options for the Swedish company. The world economic crisis, which is strongly affecting the automotive industry, specially over the last 3 months, is the main reason for this decision, Allan Mulally - Ford Motor Company Ceo - said.
Basically we’re facing a large consolidation period in the automotive industry, and we still have to wait a few months to confirm where this is leading us to.
