That’s one helluva big name for a car, isn’t it! But every part of it reflects on a great product.

First there is the Magneti Marelli, a very famous Italian auto engineering firm specializing in racing machines, then the Elaborazione 1919, which is their tuning arm, and finally the lovely Alfa Romeo Mito.

Put them together and you end up with this car you see here, a tuned Alfa MiTo which resembles the original MiTo GTA Concept.

This kit which is called Carrozzeria Castagna Milano includes modified bumpers, fender extensions, new tailpipes and rear diffuser. They also add a set of black 18-inch wheels.

As for the performance, the tuner offers a sport exhaust system and remapped ECU, good for another 31 hp, Brembo brakes and sport suspension lowering the car by 30mm.

This special Alfa Romeo is limited to 200 units.

Autodelta is the, as far as we know, the only world famous tuning company specializing in Alfa Romeo cars, so obviously they’re the first to come up with an upgrade package for it.

With its impossibly beautiful body and the thoroughbred V8 under the bonnet, the 8C definitely classifies in the supercar segment. And Autodelta does not mess around with it, and leaves the good features intact!

But they tweak the 4.7 liter V8′s managing software and optimize it so it develop 17 horsepower more. Now the 8C has around 460 hp to play with. The tuner is also working on chassis and suspension upgrade, details of which will be announced later.

Autodelta Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is currently on display at PistonHeads: The Performance Car Show in Birmingham, UK.

Alfa Romeo breraS 3.2 is British re-tuned version of the Italian sportscar which is refined by Prodrive to become lighter and also handles better.

Now Alfa tuner Autodelta is picking up where Prodrive left and fits the Brera with a supercharger, so you have a thoroughly enhanced Alfa Romeo!

Autodelta’s Brera Compressore is now capable of 352 hp and 435 nm of torque. Being a front wheel drive car, the Brera is equipped with a limited slid differential as well as a refined traction control, so this enormous power won’t embarrass it in tricky situations!

The car also gets new adjustable suspension with coil-overs that naturally lowers it by some inches enhancing its handling and aerodynamics. Alfa Brera is indeed one of the prettiest cars ever built, but it never had the sporty ingredients it needed to become perfect, now it seems that Autodelta has that one covered for it.

In the states, Alfa Romeo has a bad rep. In the early to mid 90’s Alfa Romeo was available here in America, however after some quality control problems and a lack of demand, this once great car company was forced to leave and go back to Europe. Well, today Alfa Romeo is once again making a mark in the American market. The New Alfa Romeo 8C will be available here in the states. Since 1995, none of its cars have been sold, however the 8C is a limited edition of 500 vehicles which 90 will be sold here. For those that have reservations, the Alfa Romeo is truly back to its roots with the 8C. Besides great technology, incredible performance and impeccable styling, the Alfa Romeo offers drivers something that hasn’t been around for a while- the true Alfa Romeo experience.

Under the Hood of the 8C
This car weighs a hefty 3500 lbs, even though it uses pretty much a complete carbon fiber body. However, performance definitely doesn’t lack. The car includes a 450 horsepower V8 engine that accelerates like a rocket. In fact, you can easily hit 0 to 60 in about 4.2 seconds without leaving second gear. While purists will be a little disappointed that there is no manual transmission available, for those that like speed shifting and high technology, Alfa Romeo includes a nicely done semi automatic transmission with paddle steering.

The Interior of the Alfa Romeo 8C
While the exterior is incredibly beautiful and sophisticated, you will find plenty of luxury, refinement and civility in the 8C’s interior. Crafted with beautiful materials that include fine leather, aluminum, carbon fiber and glass, you definitely feel Italian in this sports car. The 8C’s price hasn’t been set yet, but many believe it will be around the $250K mark. Also expect a convertible version soon on the market as well.

In 1910 a little company was founded with an acronym for a name. It would later become one of the most prominent names in the automotive industry… “Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili” is the acronym used and thus Alfa Romeo was born – but not before having a different name first four years earlier. SAID was the said name (get it? No? Fine) and it was also an acronym (Societá Anonima Italiana Darracq) by an Italian man named Stella – a very wealthy man from Milan in a dual ownership with the French company Alexandre Darracq which itself had basically revolutionized the manufacturing of chassis from steel that was pressed and was first to begin using machines to produce parts – rather than craftsmen. Well, after Alfa Romeo was producing vehicles war broke out in Europe, and for a while they manufactured war goods for the Italian army – until the war finished.

After the war Alfa Romeo cars were, and are, known to be some of the hardest to beat in events with their designs and overall power output through better engines. In the seventies and sixties they were one of the most dominating racecar manufacturers in the world – and in many respects still are. Alfa ran into some economic issues and ended up with Fiat taking control of assets, thus creating Alfa Lancia, which lead to many combinations between the Alfa and Lancia vehicles being combined to be more economically efficient to produce. Most recently just two years ago Maserati was bought back from Ferrari and is now also under the ownership of Fiat. Fiat now has many ideas and plans for what will come out of this with such things as sports and high class divisions being divvied out between Alfa Romeo and Maserati along with engines, platforms, and such to share markets.

Alfa Romeo 147 is bound to win great appreciations from the car lovers as they can truly realize the worth and the quality of this family car. The exclusive features of this car made it entitled to be designated as the European Car for year 2001. The car works on the running gear. When this car was launched at Turin Motor Show in 2000 it was widely appreciated and noted for its styling for which it bagged in many awards. The angriere look of the car makes it popular with stury people. The interior of the car is well updated to make the drive pleasurable. The susupension of the car is yanked. As the steering is sensitive it is easy to drive and the driver can now park the vehicle without much trouble. As the car offers numerous features which will catch the attention of the non car lovers one feels compelled to drive the car at its maximum speed of 208km/hr.
