Unichip Kit For VW Passat

The British tuner Unichip specializing in upgrading the electronics of cars released a new ECU upgrade package for the VW Passat 2.0 TDI and indeed all other models powered by that diesel engine, which include the Golf, Jetta, Passat and Touran, produced between 2004-2008.

So, what does it have to offer? Well in brief, 19 bhp and 24 lb.ft of torque.

And that extra power will result in a sharper car which can overtake more easily. The good thing is fuel consumption won’t be affected by this modification and it will be invisible to VW dealers.

The price of this kit is £528.45 excluding VAT.

Unichip Upgrades Nissan Navara Pickup

Now, tuning a tough and rough pickup truck such as Nissan Navara might sound a bit pointless, but who wouldn’t like a bit more power at their disposal?!

That’s exactly Unichip has done for the new Navara by installing a special U-connect ECU upgrade kit on it.

Therefore the 171 bhp four cylinder 2.5-litre DCi powerplant of the car is now capable of 200 bhp and 265 lb.ft of torque. That’s an increase of 29 bhp and 25 lb.ft. over the standard.

The kit will set you back £398.78, but it will give you more power with no change in fuel economy.

Toyota Hilux 3.0 D4D chipped by Unichip

Unichip Europe has released a new ECU upgrade package for a car that normally you wouldn’t want to tune in a million years!

They’ve released this package for the indestructible Toyota Hilux 3.0-litre D4D 4×4 pickup truck. This ‘U-connect’ plug, play and drive away kit give an extra 29bhp and 40lb.ft of torque.

So the power goes up form the standard 155 bhp to 184 bhp at 3500 rpm and the torque from 254 lb.ft to 295 lb.ft at just 3000rpm.

Unichip says this package significantly increase the in gear acceleration and flexibility of the engine as well as overtaking abilities. It is priced at £465.30 including VAT.

Plug&play Unichip ECU For Nissan 350Z

Nissan 350Z is mostly bought by younger drivers, specially now that the new model is out and the pricing for the old one is dropping. And what youngsters like to do with their cars is indeed modify them!

So Unichip UK has come up with an easy and affordable way for them to extract more horsepower out of the car’s 3.5 liter V6 engine.

It’s a plug and play piggy back ECU which revamps the car’s management software and increases the power form 264 to a mighty 284 bhp, and the torque from 236 lb.ft to 262 lb.ft.

Unichip Uni-Q ECU is also very flexible and allows further engine tuning, as the unit is capable of driving water injection, nitrous oxide and extra fuel injectors.
