The British tuner always pick the most popular, yet affordable, cars in the market for their project because the more people drive a particular kind of car, the more likely it is for them to want to improve it at a reasonable cost.

The Superchips ECU remap features settings which have been optimised through a mixture of dyno tuning and real world road testing, enabling Superchips to extract an additional 10 bhp at 5986 rpm from the Fiesta’s 1.6-litre Ti-VCT twin independent cam timing engine, with torque increasing by 13 Nm at 4390rpm.

As always the 48mpg fuel economy remains unchanged, and the original factory Fiesta Zetec S ECU map settings are stored within the Bluefin handset for future use, which means converting the car back to standard is a swift and simple ‘plug and go’ DIY task.

This kit which is plug & go, will instantly increase the power by 65 hp, just through some new mapping. The standard 2.5 liter 5-cylinder turbocharged engine of the TT-RS has 338 hp.

So with the new ECU it delivers 401 bhp. That is a lot of power in a car the size of a show! And as for torque, it’s even bigger at 551 Nm. and all this for just 440 Quids.

Superchips has not tested the car yet, but they reckon it can do 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.

And Superchips UK is indeed one of the very bests in business. We’ve featured some of their works before, and here’s a new one developed for BMW 135i.

With this kit installed on the car, that 3.0 liter twin-charged I6 engine gets a big bump from 305 hp up to 360hp, and from 394 Nm to an impressive 456 Nm.

Superchips says that this kit doubles the joy of driving this little beast, specially as it drops the 0 to 60 mph sprint time to 5.6 seconds. But because the speed limiter has not been changed, it still can’t do more than 155 mph.

This ECU Remap kit which is plug & go and you can install it yourself, gives another 40 bhp and 85 Nm of torque.

That means the lofty LR3 which weighs nearly 2.5 tons now has 219 bhp and 469 Nm, which is still not that great but at least you have more pulling power!

Superchips says this £445 kit also helps with the fuel economy as the car averages 27 mpg.

Installing the product is simple. Plug it into the diagnostic plug under the dash, select the performance level and options, and about 10 minutes later it’s done!

The Jeep Flashpaq also provides JK owners a number of Superchips; standard features including optimizing transmission performance, shift firmness, allowing the user to adjust the speed limiter, electric fan control, real time vehicle sensor monitoring, advanced data acquisition, read & clear trouble codes and calibrate for non-factory tire sizes and axle gear changes.

Now Superchips UK, a tuning company which plays magic with ECUs, have come up with a special treat for this car a nice 20 hp bump in power.

With Superchips package in which the tuner optimizes ignition timing, fueling and turbo boost, the Cooper S gets 195bhp and 282 Nm of torque.

Like all of their products, this package too comes with a 12 month or 30,000 mile warranty, and it’s priced at 445 Quid.

This time they have picked a Golf GTI mk6 and updated it with a new engine management software which is very easy to install and increase the peak power by 25bhp and 47lb.ft of torque. However larger performance gains are realized throughout the rev range, with the Superchip’s Bluefin upgrade picking up 44bhp at 4737rpm and 53lb.ft @ 4450rpm.

So with a total 233bhp and 253lb.ft of torque, Superchips believes that their GTI is a rival for the newly introduced Golf R. Although the R has 267hp, but because of its 4-wheel-drive system, it is quit a bit heavier than the GTi, and therefore the latter has a higher power-to-weight ratio.

Now Superchips company has came up with a professional package specially developed for the new series BMW 320d diesel which apart from increasing the power, they claim in most instances it’s even bettered due to the extra low rev torque available to the driver.

Superchips ECU remapping is good for an extra 44bhp and 103Nm of torque, which means your 320d is now capable of 220hp, so this 1495 kilo car becomes more agile and pleasant for everyday driving. Pretty good value for a £435 software, isn’t it?!
