580-hp Porsche 997 Turbo by APS Sportec


APS, the UK arm of Swiss tuning center Sportec has released a power upgrade package for the 2010 Porsche 997 Turbo facelift which takes the power up from the stock 493 bhp to 580 bhp.

The car’s 6-cylinder, 3,8 liter boxer engine has been deeply modified to deliver 580 bhp @ 6500 rpm, meanwhile peak torque hits 800 Nm (590 lb.ft) at just 3500 rpm.

To achieve this power, APS’ 997 Turbo features a stainless steel sports exhaust system with high flow catalytic converters and two 70mm ‘twin’ tailpipes.

As for the performance, the car now does o to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of approximately 197 mph. Mind you that’s estimated as they have not been measured officially yet!
